In Russian, men and women talk about themselves differently

A man says по́нял.
A woman says поняла́ — with -а at the end.

This happens only in the past tense: «я говорю́», «я хочу́» are the same for everyone.

онhe по́нял · был a man — nothing after -л
она́she поняла́ · была́ a woman — the ending -а

Your first day at a new job. You’re in the office kitchen getting some water. Katya comes in — she’s worked here for years.

How would you answer?

Two phrases to take with you

Four answers, and every one of them was yours.
Keep these two and start using them —
that’s what today was for.

Your partner replies to what you actually said, so different answers take the conversation somewhere else. Going back once is the best way to get the most out of today.

Day · done

That’s today’s ten minutes.

Today’s conversation is done. Today’s two phrases are on the previous page — say them out loud again whenever you like.

Play with them: swap other words into these phrases and say them out loud. That’s how a phrase becomes yours.

Tomorrow, just one tapAdd the icon to your Home Screen — show me how

Then the trainer opens with one tap, like an app. No more digging for the email.

On iPhone, open this page in Safari — not in Chrome or inside your mail app. Each one keeps its own memory and won’t recognize you.

Tap the menu icon on the left of the address bar.

Older iPhones have a Share button at the bottom instead — a square with an arrow. If you see it, skip to step 2.

Tomorrow: tap the icon. If the trainer ever doesn’t recognize you, tap the lesson button in the bot’s reminder or open the link in your email. Either one always works.
